3. Bookings & Payments
- Quotes are based on the information provided by the client (e.g. room size, condition, access). Final pricing may vary after on-site assessment.
- Minimum call-out fee applies to all bookings.
- Payment is due on completion unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept cash, EFTPOS, PayID and card payments.
- Late or failed payments may incur administrative fees.
4. Cancellations & Rescheduling
- We require at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Short-notice cancellations may incur a $50 fee.
- If access to the property is not possible upon arrival, the job will be marked as “failed attendance” and charged at the minimum call-out rate.
5. Service Conditions
- QuickFresh provides professional carpet, upholstery, mattress, and tile & grout cleaning using industry-standard methods (steam, dry, or enzyme-based treatments).
- Results may vary depending on fibre type, age, previous cleaning history, stains, and general condition. Some stains (e.g. permanent dye, pet urine, rust, ink, or paint) may not be removable.
- We use premium Australian-made enzymatic, oxygen-based, and solvent-safe products. Fragrance-free or low-allergen options are available on request.
- The client is responsible for ensuring power and water supply are available at the property during service.
- We take all reasonable care but cannot be held responsible for:
- Pre-existing damage, wear, shrinkage, loose joins, delamination, colour run, or fading that becomes visible after cleaning;
- Existing stains, efflorescence, or grout discolouration that cannot be removed by standard cleaning;
- Loose, cracked, or missing grout or sealant which may deteriorate further during cleaning;
- Unsealed skirtings, wooden trims, or baseboards that may absorb moisture or mark if not properly protected by the property owner prior to service.
- Chemical overspill and small seepage: During steam or grout cleaning it is possible for small amounts of water or cleaning solution to travel along grout lines or the base of skirtings. Minor superficial distortion, staining or swelling of skirtings or exposed MDF edges caused by incidental overspill is regarded as an inherent risk where the substrate is not properly sealed or appropriate moisture-resistant materials were not used. However, where damage arises from proven negligence, failure to follow agreed procedures, or gross carelessness by QuickFresh, we accept liability and will either rectify the work or pay reasonable remedial costs subject to the limits in Section 6 (Liability & Limitations).
- Mattress and upholstery anti-allergen treatments are applied as part of our enzyme pre-treatment process. However, no treatment guarantees the complete removal of allergens or dust mites.
- Tile & grout results depend on the surface type, existing sealants, and build-up. Grout whitening or re-colouring is not part of standard cleaning unless specifically quoted.
Standards & Guidance (informative)
The following standards and technical guidance inform industry best practice on waterproofing, moisture-resistant board specification, and edge/seal protection for internal linings:
- AS 3740:2021 — Waterproofing of domestic wet areas — minimum requirements for waterproofing and water-resistant materials in wet areas; emphasises correct materials and detailing around junctions and wet zones.
- National Construction Code (NCC) — requires wet-area elements to be waterproof or water-resistant and recognises AS 3740 as accepted practice.
- AS/NZS 1859.2 — Reconstituted wood-based panels — classifies MDF by service condition (e.g., MR — moisture-resistant). For MDF skirtings/trims, MR grade or proper sealing of cut edges is recommended to reduce moisture uptake.
- Manufacturer guidance consistently advises that cut/exposed MDF edges must be sealed/primed (primer, sealant, varnish or suitable coating) to minimise swelling and moisture damage.
Note: These references explain why unsealed skirtings or non-MR MDF are at greater risk when exposed to incidental moisture during cleaning.
6. Liability & Limitations
- Our liability is limited to the total value of the service provided or, where applicable, the amount covered by our public liability insurance.
- We are not liable for consequential losses, delays caused by weather or traffic, or indirect damages.
- Client must report any concerns within 48 hours after service. Re-clean visits (if applicable) are offered at our discretion.
7. Health & Safety
- We use professional equipment and products that comply with Australian safety standards. Material Safety Data Sheets (SDS) are available upon request.
- We request pets and children be kept away from work areas during and after cleaning until surfaces are fully dry.
